New Comics Day - October 10th, 2012. A big day for the big two.

Today is new comics day! As always you can check over at ComicList for a complete rundown of new releases. Today is a big day for the big two. Find out why after the jump.

Today marks the return of the Joker to the pages of DC comics. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo kick off "Death of the Family" in the pages of Batman #13. We haven't seen the Joker since his disappearance in the pages of Detective Comics #1 last year. From the looks of the preview and early reviews, it looks like the Clown Prince of Crime is back with a vengeance. What will Joker do when he finds his face? Let's all find out today.

Also big for DC, tonight is the premier of Arrow on the CW. Early buzz has been positive, and with Green Arrow being one of my favorite characters, I'm excited to see what this show has to offer. There are already some minor knit picks, (Starling City? Laurel Lance?) but I'm totally giving this one a chance. To celebrate the new show, there will be a promotional Arrow comic in shops today that should be free. Grab one before they're gone!

Speaking of Green Arrow, it was just announced that he'll be playable in next year's INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us. He looks awesome. Here is the reveal trailer.

And on the Marvel front, hot off the heels of Avengers vs. X-Men, MARVEL NOW starts today with the release of Uncanny Avengers # 1.

The new age of Marvel looks a lot more interesting that anything the New52 has to offer that isn't Batman. With the new mix of Mutants and Avengers, the future looks bright for the house that Stan and Jack built. What will you be picking up today? Are you looking forward to these new events? Let us know in the comments!!
